Deck and trims
The old covering goes into a skip to be taken away. New deck boards where needed, the insulation fitted as a warm roof, and the edge trims fixed.
Laminate
Resin and glass mat are rolled over the deck and onto the trims, the air worked out, then left to cure.
Topcoat and finish
The coloured topcoat goes on, with an anti-slip finish wherever you'll walk. Your 20-year guarantee follows by email, and I help you with the building control notification.

What is a GRP fibreglass roof?
A GRP fibreglass roof is a flat roof made from glass-reinforced polyester: layers of glass-fibre mat bonded with resin over a timber deck and sealed with a coloured topcoat. It sets into one rigid sheet with no joins, with moulded trims at the edges.
Can you walk on a fibreglass roof?
Yes, you can walk on a properly laid fibreglass roof. For regular foot traffic, ask for an anti-slip topcoat, and don't drag furniture across it. The deck matters too: GRP is rigid, so a springy deck flexes and cracks it where people step most.
Is GRP good for balconies and dormers?
Yes, GRP suits both. On a dormer it copes well with small, awkward shapes and lots of edges; on a balcony, its hard, walkable finish is what counts. A balcony is also a floor, so railings, drainage and falls need planning alongside the covering.
