I repair pitched roofs: slipped, broken and missing tiles, loose ridge and hip tiles, blocked valleys, re-tiling part of a roof, and storm damage. Chimneys, flat roofs, guttering and leadwork have their own pages, and so does roof leak repair, for when water is already getting in.
Can you replace just a few slipped or broken tiles?
Yes. If the rest of the roof is sound, I replace only the tiles that have slipped or broken, in the same size and profile. If tiles keep slipping across a whole slope, I'll tell you straight, because that points to failing nails or battens and a patch won't last long.
How long is the guarantee on a roof repair?
A roof repair from me comes with a written guarantee of at least 5 years, sent to you by email. A new roof, pitched or flat, gets 20 years. Keep the email with your house papers: buyers' surveyors often ask what work has been done on a roof and when.
How quickly can you come and look at my roof?
I usually come and look the next day, and the visit is free, day or night. If tiles have blown off or water is coming through, call instead of emailing: for an emergency I'm usually with you in about an hour, at no extra charge in the evening or at weekends.
