What does a free roof survey include?
A free roof survey from me is a visit in person and a written report, sent by email, listing all the work the roof needs. On the roof, that means the tiles or slates, ridge, valleys, flashings, chimney and gutters, and any flat roofs.
Is the roof survey really free?
Yes. The visit, the survey and the written report are all free, and there's no call-out charge, day or night. If the roof needs work, the quote is free as well. I don't publish prices, because every roof is different, so a free look is how any job with me gets priced.
Do you do roof surveys for house buyers?
No, I don't do pre-purchase roof surveys for house buyers. If you're buying, a RICS Home Survey from a chartered surveyor covers the roof as part of the purchase. Once the house is yours, I'm happy to survey the roof like any other homeowner's, free and with a written report.
